1930s Modernist Cantilever Plywood Armchair
About the Item
A rare 1930s modernist cantilever armchair very much in the style of Alvar Aalto and Marcel Breuer. This has been made using a walnut veneered plywood to create a strong but classic design with a hinged seat and sweeping curved armrests. The natural spring of the plywood construction gives comfortable seating position.
