20th Century American Ladder Back Armchair with Rush Seat and Needlepoint Cushion.
This American ladder-back armchair is a quintessential example of early American craftsmanship. The chair features a simple yet elegant design with turned spindles forming the distinctive ladder-back, sturdy armrests, and a woven rush seat. The wood displays a warm, honey-toned patina consistent with age and use. The current seat cushion is a later addition, featuring a colorful geometric needlepoint design.
Condition: slight scuffing on the legs. Cushion is in excellent condition.
