Danish high wingback lounge chair in brown sheepskin, designed by Danish designer Alfred Christensen for Slagelse Møbelfabrik in Denmark, 1940s. This rare lounge chair is a wonderful example of Scandinavian Modern design of the 1940s, featuring an elegant, curved high wingback backrest and beautifully curved wooden armrests. The seat and backrest are also newly reupholstered in this gorgeous brown sheepskin, overall giving the chair a very soft and open look. Date of manufacture: 1940s Origin: Denmark Material: Wood, Sheepskin Dimensions: Height 104 cm x Width 75 cm x Depth 76 cm; Seat Height 45 cm Condition: The wood is in good original condition, with a patina consistent with age and use. The seat and backrest are newly reupholstered in premium brown sheepskin.
