About the Item
A Bar Harbor style wicker arm chair in a rare double strand weave in natural finish, with decorative colored trim in black ,green and cranberry red , American ,C..1910 and attributed to The Heywood Wakefield Company of Gardner, Ma. This unique arm chair is very sturdy in design with full Bar Harbor style skirting in double strand weave around three sides of the chair bottom, the two front legs are designed with carved wooden decorative footings often called pineapples, each arm is given extra strength with under arm supports as well as it having a back support that runs from top to bottom on the back side for extra additional support. This is not always found on lesser quality wicker pieces. The chair has a vintage style fabric with brush fringe decorated cushioning ! The chair cushion is supported by fabric covered webbing. This is very comfortable arm chair perfect for reading and relaxing in and would be very useful in any room in your home especially on a covered porch or sunroom.This chair is photographed with a companion chair from the same estate. Priced and advertised separately.
