Antique French Os de Mouton Oak Arm Chair in Shearling Restored early 1800’s.
Having several Antique French Arm Chairs in stock, we collectively decided to try a few non-traditional concepts. Currently we have a pair of fur on hide French Arm Chairs on this site being offered for sale and now they are joined by a couple of Shearling Upholstered Antique French Oak Arm Chairs. This is the first of several more Shearling Chairs to follow covered with this more modern twist. I will say that I never realized how nice it was to sit on a Shearling Upholstered chair, warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer months. So, not only did we upholster the Antique French Oak Arm Chair in Shearling, but we restored the complete wood frame and during the upholstery process only used old school materials, like horsehair, shredded coco fiber and absolutely no foam rubber.

Antique French Shearling Upholstered Armchair Completely Restored using Old School methods, which simply means we do not use foam rubber for padding and actually tie the coil springs by hand, However, this Antique French Armchair is so old that there is not a straight line in sight for everything is a bit askew. I would prefer to simply describe it as cattywampus. Apparently the internet defines it as "something askew, out of line, or in disarray". None of this bothers us and it comes with the territory of purchasing 200-year old French Armchairs, so we're used to it.
