Antique Pair French Louis XVI Revival Painted Fauteuil Armchairs, 19th Century
About the Item
This is a elegant Antique pair of Louis XVI Revival painted fauteuil armchairs, circa 1880 in date.
Constructed in a well carved two tone grey beechwood, with later floral and swag design upholstery; rising from turned and tapering legs with toupie feet, the shaped rectangular backs are embellished with a carved anthemion crest and finials. The side rails issuing carved arms, with scrolling terminals.
There is no mistaking their beautiful and stylish design, which is certain to make them a treasured addition to one of the rooms in your home.
