Antique Rustic Neogothic Armchair
About the Item
Antique Rustic Neogothic armchair was constructed from thick, solid oak to last for generations, and includes a fine leather upholstery affixed with brass tacks for a truly timeless look! The Gothic style originated in the middle of the 12th century in France, and has seen continued popularity for over 800 years. This example features a squared seat and seat back, both generously proportioned, surrounded by an extra-sturdy frame with shimmed full mortise joints, contoured armrests, and a design that allows use in any part of any room. Carved details include pyramidal patterns, carved spire-shaped capitals and contoured legs with a contoured stretcher.
