About the Item

A rare Baltic set of 6 Empire-armchairs - design by Georg Friedrich Hetsch Mahogany richly carved and veneered Side frame construction with inlaid upholstered seat on turned fluted legs, the back saber legs find their continuation in the curved backrest with the wide central bridge and the richly decorated backrest board with finely carved palmettes and vine work. Curved armrests ending in hand volutes.
