The randomness of the baskets piled up at the Central Fair in Campina Grande, Paraíba, is the starting point for the concept of Poltrona Cariri. Overlapped, the displays of fruits, vegetables and fish inspire volume and texture for the furniture pieces covered by polyester rope in manufactured weave. Stainless steel structure with naval rope weft.

Sergio J. Matos
Sérgio J. Matos, 43, born in Paranatinga, a small town in the state of Mato Grosso, specializes in authorial design, furniture, objects and scenography. He has been performing this function for 12 years, but professionally, since the opening of his studio in 2010. The fact that he was born in a region close to the Xingu indigenous reserve, surrounded by the natural diversity of the forest, learned early on to be curious to know , admire and observe this culture, which awoke and stimulated him to look for ways to work with these natural materials and colors extracted from nature.
