Unusual oversized Chippendale style mahogany dining chair for shop display.
Unique opportunity to own this rare decorative chair which was obviously a special commission. Standing at over 6 feet tall this chair is a fine opportunity for a shop display, hotel display or for a real statement piece in a large home.
Fine quality carving to the shaped back with scrolls and acanthus leaves to the back rest arms. Standing on 2 front cabriole legs, with acanthus leaf detailing to the knee and gadrooned edge, finishing with ball and claw feet.
Drop in seat recently re-upholstered in grey mole skin.
Expected surface marks and minor restorations.
