Circa 1845 Robert Strahan & Co Ireland Dublin Red Leather Armchair, Elveden Hall

About the Item

A fine mid 19th century red leather tub armchair, by the cabinet maker and upholster Robert Strahan & Co of 24-25 Henry Street Dublin, In country house condition totally untouched and original. Sits on oak legs, back left stamped '95813'. The frame is absolutely solid along with the springs. Some knocks and abrasions along with a handful of small tears to the leather. Three buttons missing to the seat, original paper label to hessian bottom. Provenace The Guinness Family Elveden Hall Suffolk 86cm in height 73cm in width 72cm in depth Seat Height 42cm, 44cm width, 50cm in depth
