Mid 19th C Country House Gothic Revival Green Leather Armchair Holland & Sons
About the Item
A mid Victorian oak & leather easy armchair by Holland & Son.
The oak front legs have a heavy chamfered gothic design, the original green leather is well worn with elderly repairs giving a distinctly pleasing appearance. We have also replaced a few section with some period shagreen leather in keeping with the colour and feel of the chair.
Both sides and back have been replaced with a rexine, this has been done some time ago and worn in keeping with the chair.
Stamped on the back legs with the Holland & Son trade mark, original freely moving cast brass castors.
