The twin of DS-343 DS-344 is the twin of the armchair that reinvented sitting: same creators, same idea, just a little different in appearance. This version of the armchair, which protects the pelvis and back, uses leather in a thinner version: a sustainable raw material that we use for comfort. Revolutionary seating concept DS-343 is an armchair that moves when the person seated moves, because the object is constructed not with a Classic seating surface that stops at the backrest, but with one that extends to the height of the pelvis. If one leans backwards, the backrest element, from pelvic height on up, automatically moves along with the user, without any mechanical effort, and solely as a result of the change in the posture of the person seated. And the design is equal to this revolutionary seating concept: The silhouette of the wing chair is defined by the skillful folding of the leather. Dimensionally stabile neck leather in thicknesses of up to 5 mm is skillfully processed by hand to ensure that it continuously cascades over the edges. We did not bring a designer on board to develop this wing chair, with all due respect: we are not exactly short on expertise in this area. Still, we found that thinking outside the box helps us better understand the human body, its features and needs. So we looked around in the fields of science, medicine and orthopedics and brought an expert on board. Star physical therapist Bart Van der Heyden...
