Early 20th Century 1918 Folk Art Hand Carved Armchair with Carved Imagery
About the Item
Hand carved armchair dating from 1918, the entire chair is embellished with carved imagery. Various images derived from nature and other influences with some appearing to be surreal in appearance. Possible connection with the U.S. Cavalry with crossed swords and U.S. carved on one of the arms. This being a 100 year old piece the scale is on the smaller side, the width between the arm supports is 15 inches.
