About the Item
Luxurious 19th century French Empire, Napoleon III period, 1852-1870, satinwood gilt bronze mounted desk chair. Fine hand chased figural bronze mounts depicting classical maidens at the arm rests, rosettes, laurel leaf garlands and paw front sabots.. Exceptionally comfortable, spring upholstered seat, generous back and arm rests.
Very good condition, reupholstered, good preservation to gilding with wear commensurate with age.
