English Button Back Armchair by Cornelius V. Smith

About the Item

A generously proportioned over stuffed Cornelius V. Smith button back armchair in pink stripe linen. Mahogany turned front legs and splayed back legs, all raised on original brass castors. The back leg is stamped clearly with the makers mark CVS and numbered 6705. The armchair has been fully restored and stripped back to the solid oak frame for upholstery with a new coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added and finished in linen. In fabulous condition and ready to brighten any room. English, circa 1880.
