About the Item

A wonderful and unusual English circa 1825 George IV period armchair having walnut frame with allover turned "bobbin" carving, the rectangular back with four support spindles and upholstered back cushion connecting to abbreviated arms with 'tubulate' upholstered armrests joining deep caned seat with conforming upholstered cushion on slightly tapered bobbin-turned front legs and smooth slayed rear all on original brass casters. Seat height to top of seatrail is 15.75" without cushion; seat depth with back cushion is 17.5" and without is 23"; arm height is 27".
