About the Item

Pair of highback armchairs designed by danish architect Ernst Kühn, 1935. Newly reupholstered in fabric. The rosewood has been refinished. This is a unique pair of chairs that was made exclusively as part of the interior for “Villa Koux” in Hellerup, Copenhagen, Denmark. Ernst Kühn was, in 1935, responsible for the construction and decoration of the house. Only this pair of chairs is known to exist. Literature: “Bygge & bo”, 1936 No. 6, pp. 22–23.
