French Carved Oak Lyre-Back Fauteuils Needlepoint Seat Armchairs, A Pair
About the Item
Antique French oak lyre-back armchairs, late 19th c. The armchairs have carved frame with interlocking ring ornamentation, gently curving arms, centering padded seat, upholstered in vining floral pattern needlepoint, rising on turned and fluted legs, joined by stretchers, (one) surmounted by pineapple-form finals. Some minor loss and restoration, arms intact with minor fractures.
