About the Item
Important pair of 18th century Louis XVI armchairs stamped Menuisier du Roy (Ebeniste of the King).
Very generous proportions, these beautiful armchairs are constructed with strong beechwood and are sturdy enough to be used daily. These stylish French armchairs most often referred to as "fauteuil Marie Antoinette" feature "chapeau de gendarme", fluted and half reeded legs. Comfortable, elegant and practical frames.
Will be sold restored. If re-upholstery is desired, provide your own fabric and we'll take care of the rest or we can source the fabric and get a professional that we deal with often to reupholster. Additional fees apply and will be provided upon request.
