Louis XV Red À La Reine Armchair, 19th Century

About the Item

A armchair, fauteuil à la Reine with back in the style of Jean Baptiste Cresson with headlines of the armrests and seat upholstered and covered with red silk damask, "violonné" backrest, horizontal armrests with volute ends opening slightly outwards and recessed and curved supports, attached to the seat rim. Slightly trapezoidal seat, with wavy sides and front. Resting on four galbated legs, pipe feet and carved decoration, mouldings, volutes, foliage and flowers.
