About the Item

Musa is an homage to Italian haute couture and the supermodels who made history on the catwalks. Designed by Tiago Curioni in collaboration with ZEEA, the armchair translates the elegance of fashion into architecture and form. Its sculptural silhouette evokes feminine curves and the fluid movement of a dress in motion. Imposing yet graceful, Musa is composed of overlapping layers that appear to swirl around the seat as if caught in perpetual spin — a ballet of volumes and shadows. The armchair was developed with a high degree of material flexibility: the external shell can be upholstered in structured fabrics such as bouclé, wool blends, or technical textiles that emphasize its sculptural presence, while the inner seat and backrest are designed for softer, tactile materials like velvet, chenille, or natural fibers to maximize comfort. This configuration allows for full customization in fabric and color combinations — from monochromatic solutions to bold contrasts — making each piece adaptable to different interior projects. Equipped with a rotating base, Musa offers not only comfort but also functionality, creating an intimate sense of semi-isolation while its enveloping form produces a distinctive acoustic shell effect. First unveiled during Milan Design Week 2024, Musa continues to stand as a statement piece that bridges design, fashion, and performance.
