Oak and wicker Fireside armchair by Charles Dudouyt France 1950s, set of 2

About the Item

A fantastic set of Fireside chairs by Charles Dudouyt in sculpted oak and wicker. The set is in typical Dudouyt fashion with the conical-shaped feet, going all the way up in one piece and carved in a knot on top. The oak frame has overall carved ornaments in the frame, accentuating the basic shapes. The armrests have a curved shape. The wicker seat really complements the overall look. The chairs are extremely well constructed in solid heavy oak and have been built by hand back in the days
