About the Item
LIV arm chair is a part of the LIV collection designed by Jonas Bohlin in 1997.
The collection was named after his rowing boat LIV, the boat that he and his friends were rowing from Stockholm to Paris on open water, along rivers and canals for 116 days in 1994. A dream that came true and the journey inspired Bohlin to a collection of furnitures and a lamp who were shown in a famous exhibition in Stockholm in 1997. The shape of the arm rest is the shape of the bridges under which he was traveling, the wooden boards , all the docks he was entering day after day.
