About the Item
In 1994 the Swedish interior architect and designer Jonas Bohlin was rowing from Stockholm to Paris. This was a dream that came true. The journey took him 117 days along canals, rivers and open sea in his boat Liv ( in English Life) together with friends. A collection and a grand exhibition named Liv was made in 1997 inspired by this journey. Jonas Bohlin describes his chair Liv. "Rivers in landscapes. The back of the chair follows me and changes shape. Just now it was the final drop. Not the one who hollows out the stone because of its power, but because it constantly let go.” The chair has become iconic. In 2021 the new design producer Ingridsdotter relaunched the chair. It is produced on a small scale in Stockholm and south of Sweden, in only Swedish high quality raw materials: steel, vegetable tanned cow leather or oak-tree.

Customer can choose from outdoor or indoor lacquered steel . Choose from oiled or lacquered oak for outdoor use or different colors of vegetable tanned leather: black, burgundy, cognac for indoor use.
