Pair of 19th century Louis XV style giltwood armchairs newly upholstered in a creamy ecru velvet with nailhead detail. Also available C.O.M.    

Crafted in Provence, France circa 1880, each comfortable fauteuil sits on cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves at the shoulder, and ending with escargot feet over an X-form stretcher. Both armchairs have a tall and arched back, a wide and deep seat flanked with open curved armrests decorated with acanthus leaf motifs, over a scalloped apron decorated with hand carved shell and foliate motif on all four sides. Both antique fauteuils are upholstered with a floral and vine decor fabric in the beige and rust palette.
