About the Item
Pair of 19th century elm elbow chairs circa 1890.
Good quality pair of English elm elbow armchairs, each stamped with a crown on the back of each seat, indicating a possible royal country house connection.
Shaped backs with turned spindle supports which hold the shepherds crook arms in place. Each raised on 4 turned legs with further turned stretchers. Evidence of being previously painted.
Kept in original condition, minor surface marks and fading. Strong and sturdy and ready for everyday use.
