About the Item

This pair of 19th century French neoclassical painted armchairs is perfect for adding a Classic touch with a light, airy look. Rectilinear architecture is easy to blend with most any decor. The open frame design creates a lightweight design that blends with surrounding decor yet adds a stylistic touch thanks to the hand carved adornment including ribbon, rosettes and acanthus plumes. Supported by tapered and fluted legs, each features a rose colored mohair upholstery. The painted finish has achieved a lovely patina over the decades. Matching pieces still available as of this writing, circa 1890s. Measures: 36.5 H x 25 W x 23 D ~ seat 16 H.
