Pair of Armchairs with Geometric Seat and Back in Wood

About the Item

Two armchairs, beech, Europe, 1930s. This set of chairs is executed in solid wooden seat with a wooden geometric back and seat. The style is typical for pre-war design. Playful, bold lines and experimental techniques are seen in this remarkable design. The intertwined geometric shaped pieces of wood that form the backrest and seat are a stunning feature that creates a very different type of chair. The chairs are modest yet refined by means of the large, curved armrests. The set shows lovely, warm patina. The chairs show similarities to Erick Dieckmann's Bauhaus armchairs. Kindly be aware that these pieces are in good, used condition.
