About the Item

Pair of "Official Back" armchairs. In Chinese "Yoku Back" Untouched made in elm wood, burgundy lacquer and natural age-related patina with clear lacquer as surface finish. Called "Official Back (Yoku)" as the top piece on the back has the same shape as an officers hat. Good seating position, seat H: 52. Shanxi Province approx. 1840.
