Pair of Danish Modern Cane Back Armchairs by Hans Olsen, c. 1960

About the Item

This gorgeous pair of mid-century upholstered armchairs exemplifies the Danish Modern style with clean lines and open, minimalist form. The design is attributed to Danish designer Hans Olsen and was produced by furniture manufacturer Juul Kristensen, circa 1958-1960. The chairs have sleek, teak wood frames with metal seat supports and woven cane backings. The simple square cushions have been recently reupholstered in Arabesque by Alexander Girard for Maharam, a beautiful geometric weave with a palette of green, blue, and metallic gold. Additional Dimensions: Seat Height: 16"H.
