About the Item

Pair of extravagant black and white Formanova armchairs covered with bouclé fabric Italy 1960s. Formally very mature pair of armchairs manufactured by the company FORMANOVA. These chairs are timeless designs by Gianni Moscatelli for Formanova from the 1960s. Their design is characterized by clean and functional lines, complemented by contrasting details such as the brass leg cuffs on the lower part of the legs. The designer's genius is particularly evident in the two side connecting elements that link the lower structure to the backrest, thus combining structural requirements with aesthetics. These chairs are versatile and suitable for use as both dining chairs and office chairs. The rounded and well upholstered backrest and the round, slightly curved seat give the armchairs an extremely pleasing shape and provide great seating comfort. Pierre Frey's bouclé fabric cover with its slightly coarse texture emphasizes the chair's character. The objects are completely refurbished, metal repainted, upholstery renewed, fabric renewed, foot cuffs newly polished. These chairs are not only comfortable, but also a real eye-catcher.
