About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of original handmade in England George Smith Signature hand dyed cigar brown leather club armchairs RRP £13,000 These are the finest handmade in England chairs you will find today buy one of the greatest furniture makers of the 20th century The chairs are fully upholstered with English plain russet hide, they have then been hand dyed this amazing cigar brown colour. Each chair is fully stamped with the George Smith plaque, they both have the original fire reg labels which also bear the George Smith name. The cushions are oversized and recess inside the frame under the back cushions, only George Smith chairs have this feature The leather is natural untreated hide, it has colour variations and scaring from new, the second chairs seat cushion shows some scars, the rest of the suite has minor variations in the hide here and there Dimensions: Height:- 85cm Width:- 83cm Depth:- 99cm with the back to the wall to the front panel of the frame, 102.5cm to the front of the feather cushion Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
