Pair of Louis XIV Style French Walnut Fauteuils
About the Item
A pair of Louis XIV style French fauteuils, or arm chairs, with solid walnut frames. Boldly carved armrests with large ball finials and turned wood spindle legs and stretcher. Nice proportions with square profile, sturdy construction and comfortable seating. Beautiful patina with waxed finish. Old fabric is as found. One arm is a little loose and should be reglued when reupholstering. The back of one chair has signs of worm damage, no longer active. The height of the arm is 27.5" . As always, more photos available upon request.
