Pair of Louis XVI Style Beechwood Cabriolets Fauteuils with Oval Medallion Backs
About the Item
A pair of French Louis XVI style beechwood cabriolets fauteuils with oval medallion backs, scrolled arms, fluted legs and green silk upholstery. Each of this pair of French Louis XVI style armchairs features an elegant oval-shaped molded back, adorned with carved rais-de-cœur motifs. Two partially upholstered open scrolled arms with acanthus leaf-carved knuckles, flank the central seat upholstered in green silk. Each fauteuil is raised on four elegant fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees. Their graceful lines, inspired by the neoclassical taste for antiquity, are perfectly highlighted by the soft color of the upholstery, making this pair of French 20th century beechwood cabriolets fauteuils, an excellent choice for any living room, bedroom or foyer.
