Pair of Mahogany and Shearling Armchairs by Alfred Christensen

About the Item

Cozy and sophisticated, this pair of arm chairs are an excellent example of 1940s Danish Modern furniture design. The chairs, designed by Alfred Christensen for prolific furniture manufacturer Slagelse Møbelvaerk, have a black varnished wood frame and new shearling upholstery by Skandilock. The chairs have lovely high rounded backs and carved paw-like arms. These chairs would make a lovely addition to any living space. Dimensions: 26 in. Width 23 in. Depth 29.5 in. High Back 16 in. Seat Height 18 in. Seat Depth 21 in. Seat Width Condition notes: In good condition consistent with the chairs age and use. The frames have been refinished, the webbing replaced, and both chairs were reupholstered in 100% Shearling from Skandilock textiles.
