    Pair of H-269 Armchairs designed by Halabala for UP Zavody, a well-known furniture manufacturer and dealer based in Brno, Czechoslovakia. In the last few years, these chairs have become increasingly rare with an equally increasing demand from interior designers. The armchair has been restored and reupholstered by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process. The new upholstery is high quality leather, it's very easy to clean and retains its colours very well even in direct sunlight. Additionally, you can custom order this item with any upholstery you want, from high quality leather to premium backhausen fabric, the choice is yours. More about the designer Jindrich Halabala was born on May 24, 1903 in Korycany into the family of carpenter Štepán Halabala, whose craft he learned in a family business between 1918 and 1920. He then joined the State Czechoslovak Vocational School for Wood Processing in Valašské Mezirící, which he graduated from two years later. After school, he started practicing at the United UP races, where he met their founder Jan Vanek. In 1922 he also began to study architecture at the School of Applied Arts in Prague, specializing in furniture and interiors with prof. Pavel Janák...
