Pair of Rare English Turner’s Tripod Chairs Circa 1890 Modern

About the Item

Rare pair of English “Turner’s Chairs Circa 1890. The style of these chairs is often referred to as “Jacobean” or “Elizabethan”. All Turner’s chairs from this period were made in England or Scotland. Oddly enough, these “antique” chairs have become “modern” and mixed in with organic modern style interiors by some of the leading interior designer’s of the world! The iconic Turner’s chairs have three legs, also known as “tripod”legs. They are often referred to as a “thrown” chair because all the parts are turned on a lathe all made entirely by hand. No two chairs are exactly alike. These charming and unique pair of chairs are available now for shipping from Palm Springs, CA. They were purchased in a very high end “Vintage Modern” Furniture Showroom in Los Angeles recently and were never used for the Palm Springs area project.
