Pair of Thorald Madsen Armchairs in Sheepskin and Beech, Denmark, Mid 1930s

About the Item

This very rare pair of armchairs was produced by the cabinetmaker Thorald Madsen in Denmark in the mid 1930s. The curved, round shape of the armrests and back gives the design a distinctive and modern feel. The chairs have been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in a curly and soft shearling/sheepskin. The beech legs have been refinished.
