About the Item

Post-Modern Ekstrem Chair by Terje Ekstrom in original red fabric , Norway 1984 The Ekstrem Chair is a modern and ergonomic lounge chair that was designed by Terje Ekstrøm in 1984 and is made in Norway. This chair has an exceptional and striking design that has made it an iconic piece of furniture. It is not just a chair but rather a stand-alone object and represents one of Norway's first postmodern designs. The unique geometrics of this chair allow you to sit forward with feet on the ground, sideways with legs on the armrests, or completely backward with your torso against the chair's back. The sitting experience of this chair is out of the ordinary. It was created to promote relaxation and freedom of movement, allowing users to shift positions and find their most comfortable seating posture. The chair would be a perfect addition to various interiors, such as a living room, family room, screening room, or office, as well as hospitality or corporate settings like boutique hotel lobbies, cocktail bars, members clubs, or luxury boutiques. It is worth noting that the original fabric is also in excellent condition, with only slight traces of use. Postmodern designs are sustainable options as they give furniture a second, third, or even fourth life. Mid-century design furniture is often of high quality and built to last for several lifetimes. Some pieces have a rich history, with signs of wear giving a glimpse into the previous owner's life.

Red Mid-century Modern Armchairs by Gastone Rinaldi, Italy 1960s Gastone Rinaldi designed this beautiful and iconic pair of rare armchairs in 1954, Italy. The shape of the armchairs is sculptural, unique, and extraordinary: the two soft armrests merge to form a backrest with filigree contours without restricting the seat's comfort. The legs of the chairs are very finely designed and create a wonderful symbiosis with the organically shaped seat. Gastone Rinaldi found contour-soft and ergonomic shapes and projected them onto his designs. Both lounge chairs have the original vintage fabric...
