About the Item

Armchair model "Progetti 63230" produced by the Italian company Giorgetti in the 1980s. The company has a tradition of more than a century, started in Brianza in 1898. Luigi Giorgetti founded a cabinet-making workshop, with about eight workers, that bears his name. Before long, the small workshop expanded into a building with over forty people dedicated to the production of finely carved furniture in the classical style. Today, Giorgetti combines the use of traditional materials with cutting-edge technology, establishing itself as a nationally and internationally recognized brand. The small armchair belonging to the "Progetti" series is upholstered in fabric, with polyurethane foam seat and back padding. The legs are lacquered in a dark shade, and the inner frame is marked "walnut lacquered." The armrests are made of polished pau iron. An interesting curiosity about this armchair is the design inspiration: the armrest recalls the elegant shape of the handle of an antique walking stick. The state of preservation is good; the fabric has been cleaned, but still has some stains.
