Rare and exceptional "Tre Pezzi" model PL 19 armchair by Franco Albini, manufactured by Poggi, Italy, c. 1959.
This armchair, known as the "Tre Pezzi" (three pieces) armchair, consists of a tubular frame in lacquered metal, a deep curved seat, a crescentic backrest, and a half-moon headrest. Highly collectible, the PL 19 armchair was designed in conjunction with Albini's long-time collaborator Franca Helg.
This chair has been newly reupholstered in a plush purple alpaca-wool fabric.
