About the Item

.Have you ever thought that even the littlest ones deserve an authentic design object, conceived with the same care and intelligence that is reserved for the adult world? The children's armchair by Studio BBPR is much more than a simple seat: it is a small cultural manifesto. Born in the years of the economic boom, in an era in which Italy was redesigning itself through architecture, design and art, this armchair represents the meeting of functionality, aesthetics and attention to childhood. Its soft shapes, the playful but solid profile, the materials designed to last and to accompany the growth of the child: everything tells a vision. A vision in which even a child is an individual with taste, dignity and spatial rights. An object like this does not only furnish - it educates. And behind this small masterpiece there is a big name: Studio BBPR, a Milanese collective founded by four architects - Banfi, Belgiojoso, Peressutti and Rogers - who changed the face of Italian architectural culture in the twentieth century. Best known for iconic works such as the Torre Velasca, BBPR have brought forward a deeply ethical design idea, capable of holding together historical memory and innovation. In their work there has always been room for the human being, at every scale: from the city to the children's armchair. And perhaps this is the greatest value of an object like this: transmitting to the little ones the beauty of design thought, the quality of materials, the form that follows the function but does not give up the soul. Choosing a BBPR armchair today means giving a piece of history, but also a gesture of love towards the future.
