Rudolf Wolf Miami Lounge Chair, Holland, 1960

About the Item

Extremely rare and exquisite lounge chair model 183 'Miami' designed by Rudolf Wolf and manufactured by Rohé Noordwolde, Holland 1960. This stunning chair has an amazing combination of materials which makes this chair very extraordinary. I have never seen this chair before, probably as many got broken over the years. The seat is made of plastic straps, the structure is made of solid teak wood and the base is made of aquare tubular metal, off white (re)painted. We refinished the frame into the original colour. This is a museum worthy chair, not for daily use, we cannot guarantee what will happen with the plastic straps although they seem still strong and firm. Documentation available with the purchase.

  • Rudolf Wolf Tubular Sculpture Holland, 1975
    By Rudolf Wolf
    Located in Roosendaal, Noord Brabant
Stunning sized symmetrical sculpture in stainless steel, designed and made by Rudolf Wolf in his own atelier in Amstelveen in 1975. The sculpture is made of 2 stainless steel tubes, cut, and welded perfectly into this abstract modern shape; it has a black painted wooden base which connects the 2 parts with each other. These sculptures were only made in very small numbers and are very hard to find. This sculpture is one of several we acquired from the former bookkeeper from Rudolf Wolf who bought these artworks in the 1980s. The sculpture has a nice size which you can easily put somewhere on a table/sideboard and look highly decorative. This work is unsigned, but we have several old pictures...
