Magnificent early 19th century French Louis XV set of 4 armchairs from a parlor suite, richly upholstered in exceptional, early and rare handwoven Aubusson tapestries. There is a matching sofa available as well. Each chair has one unique bird woven into its tapestry, and are finely carved with giltwood detail. The quality of the Aubusson tapestries is wonderful; there are some threadbare areas commensurate with the age of the pieces. Note: will sell the armchairs as pairs, a set of 4, or the sofa separately. Found West of Paris, France. arm height 24.5 #7420
