About the Item

A set of 6 sculptural vintage Monk chairs made in solid oak. Carved by a Swedish cabinetmaker in the early 20th century. A truely authentic wabi sabi set in an overall good condition with a fine patina. Seats reupholstered in luxury Bouclé, Storr 1501 (Eggshell) from BUTE fabric. This fine decorative set will complement many interior styles. A modern, Scandinavian or an Art Deco home decor. "Wabi-sabi is the view or thought of finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature. It is about the aesthetic of things in existence, that are “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”.
