Set of two Mid Century Modern armchairs in walnut and green velvet upholstery
About the Item
Coming from the headquarters of an insurance company, this set of two Mid-Century Modern armchairs is stunning in all aspects! The walnut frame, preserved in untouched original conditions, shows a warm patina of the time. It's partially uneven, but it only adds to the charm of the pieces, and truly tell a story of decades of loving and careful use. The details of the frame are wonderful, from the concave fluting running along the armrest to the elegantly carved profiles on the side.
The upholstery, redone in recent years, is a thick and sturdy checker velvet; it's green, but has many shades ranging from aquamarine to dark forest based on the light and the direction of the fibers. The conditions of the upholstery are almost perfect, a solid 9/10. Reupholstering the chairs is, anyway, possible.
