Spazzapan Italian Post-Modern Pop Art Red Metal Flower Sculpture Armchair
About the Item
Fun minimalist armchair, a unique organic modern design inspired by nature, manufactured and signed by the Italian artist, Anacleto Spazzapan (Luino, Italy - 1943). The handmade structure is hand-welded thin iron tubes, typical of Spazzapan creations, cold painted in deep red. The chair bears on the back the initials AS, the signature of the artist.
Suitable for all types of environments thanks to the use of epoxy powder paint which protects the iron by preventing it from rusting with a preparation base in zinc black paint. Other styles and colors are available. Visit 1stdibs Cosulich Interiors Store Front.
Every piece by Anacleto Spazzapan is individually designed and manufactured as a one-of-a-kind Work of Art. His designs are inspired by nature and Baroque art as he values history and the handmade.
In his own words: "Everything inspires me. Sometimes it’s something I see, other times it’s the mathematic formula I rely on to produce the functional item I have in mind. A chair, for example, needs to have a certain size and be comfortable, and those are the crucial features to start the creative process and then the manufacturing next step. To me, a design object must be functional." Anacleto conveys joy and exuberance in his work, he loves to play with rich vivid colors, shapes, and curves.
His furniture is highly collectible and decorates the most exclusive interiors worldwide.
