Stunning 18th Century Swedish Gustavian Barrel Back Chairs, Pair

About the Item

A gorgeous and unique pair of late 18th century Swedish barrel backs from the Gustavian period that have been dry scrapped and then had a recent paint touch up with grays and white hues to the wooden details. fine details include: unique and rare face carvings on the edge of the chairs with bell flowers carved around the seat frame while featuring rosettes on the corner posts that end in fluted, round and tapered legs adorned with the acanthus leaves. Featuring new upholstery in linen. *We currently have two pairs of Gustavian Barrel Back chairs in stock with a pair of lion head barrel backs in stock if one wanted a set of 6 for a dining room table.
