Theater Bench by Carlo Mollino, Rai Auditorium Torino, Italy, 1951

About the Item

This two-seater bench was designed by Carlo Mollino in the 1950s. The bench was part of the original seating from the Rai Auditorium in Turin, which is why there are small numbers on the sides. The piece of furniture is still covered with the original red velvet. The fabric harmonizes beautifully with the brass of the chair legs. Feel free to contact us for more detailed pictures. Lit: Giovanni Brino, Carlo Mollino: l’architettura come autobiografia, Rizzoli, 1987, p. 136; I. de Guttry, M. P. Maino, Il mobile italiano degli anni ‘40 e ‘50, Laterza, Bari 1992, p. 215.
